Team Building Day Solutions For Schools

School Team Building Day - Run It Yourself

We know that budgets in schools are always being squeezed and that events such as team building days may not always be at the top of the list.  The list of benefits from these extra curricular days is huge.

If you do not want to pay for a fully fledged facilitated school team building our rental option is a happy medium for many schools.

How The Hire Works

With a variety of trials over the years we have concluded that a hire day works best if the equipment arrives on site at your school on the morning of the activity day and is then setup at the activity location by a member of our team. This staff member will then run through any questions and make sure that the school is happy with how the day works. We aim that this will be done by 9:30am. Our staff member will then leave the site and return at 3:00pm to pack up all of the equipment.

What We Include In The Hire Package

For our “Run it yourself” days we will bring a challenge day based on 32 team building activities. For each of these activities we will provide all of the equipment and activity boards that explains each challenge. These will be for the group of students to read to understand activity. It will also state how to score points for their team. If school staff require any extra information this will be included in the teachers notes booklet that each group leader will be given.

If your school is running the day as a competition we will also supply a trophy for the winning team. How to run a successful competition is included in the information brief that is provided before the event.

How We Structure The Day

Students will work in groups of a suggested  size of 8-10. This will help to maximise participation throughout the event. It is recommended that each group has a member of school staff with them to help keep them on track and also to be in charge of scoring them through the day. For some younger groups such as Year 7,  sports leaders or Sixth Formers are often used by schools to support each team. Scoring is based on criteria such as planning, communication and working together as well as points for the success on the actual challenge.

Each group will choose which activity they are attempting from our challenge board. If an activity board is available that means the activity is free. Once the group has finished they will help reset the activity and then return the activity board to enable another group to participate in that challenge.

As well as the 32 activities, which are very unlikely to be completed by any one group,  we will also provide you with a small selection of all in challenges which are a good way to start and finish different parts of the day.

School Staff Responsibilities

This is a hire day and your school staff are responsible for the facilitation of the day.  The key to a successful day is to make sure that each group has a committed supervisor.

This is a highly rewarding day where students and teachers alike can have a lot of fun.

Facility Requirements

This hire option is required to be setup in one area such as  a field. vehicle access will be required for both setup and pack down.
